Makassar, 25 July 2026 – Proud news comes from the Forestry Study Programme, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Two forestry lecturers have successfully secured internal research grant funding from Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, based on Rector's Decree Number 213 of 1448 H/2026 M concerning the Winners of the Beginner Lecturer Research Grant (PDP) and International Collaborative Community Service Research.
The lecturers who received this funding are Dr. Ir. Hikmah, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM, who was successful under the International Collaborative Research Grant scheme in Japan. Meanwhile, Rahmat Ariandi, S.Hut., M.Hut. secured funding as team leader under the Beginner Lecturer Research (PDP) scheme and also succeeded as a team member of the aforementioned international collaborative research.
This achievement is tangible evidence of the commitment of Forestry Study Programme lecturers to enhancing research quality, expanding international collaborative networks, and generating innovations that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in forestry, forest products, and the sustainable utilisation of natural resources.
The Head of the Forestry Study Programme, Ir. Jauhar Mukti, S.Hut., M.Hut., IPM, expressed appreciation for this achievement and hopes that this success will motivate the entire academic community to continue increasing research productivity, scientific publications, and collaboration with various national and international partners.
