Maros, 30 October 2025 — Students of the Forestry Study Programme at the University of Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar carried out Integrated Field Practice for the courses Watershed Management and Microclimatology at the BMKG Class I Maros Station.
The activity, attended by fifth and seventh semester students, aimed to strengthen practical understanding of the application of climatological science in forest resource management. Students received direct explanations from BMKG staff regarding the measurement of climatic elements and the use of climatological data for microclimate analysis and watershed management.
According to Dr. Ir. Hasanuddin Molo, S.Hut., M.P., IPM, this activity reinforces the link between climate and watershed hydrological dynamics. The Head of the Forestry Study Programme, Ir.
