Six students from the Forestry Study Programme at Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar have the opportunity to take part in a pre-interview with Tecsupo Japan on Friday, 5 September 2025.
This activity is an important stage before they depart for an internship in Japan, specifically at Yamada Forestry in Gifu Prefecture. During this initial interview session, students were asked to introduce themselves, explain their motivations, and demonstrate their readiness to gain international experience in the field of forestry.
“This opportunity is extremely valuable for students, as they not only learn theory on campus but also get to see first-hand how forest management is practised in Japan,” said one committee representative.
The international internship programme is expected to open doors for Unismuh forestry students to broaden their global perspective, enhance their skills, and bring back valuable experience that can be applied in Indonesia, stated the Head of the Forestry Study Programme at Unismuh Makassar.
