Forestry Study Programme Presents Work Programme at FORETIKA 2025 Forum

Makassar, 14 October 2025 – The Forestry Study Programme of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar participated in the presentation of the Work Programme under the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management (Ditjen PKTL) and member universities of FORetIKA.

Makassar, 14 October 2025 – The Forestry Study Programme of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar participated in the presentation of the Work Programme under the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management (Ditjen PKTL) and member universities of FORetIKA.

During the event, Ir. Muh. Daud, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM., CEIA presented the development direction of the Unismuh Makassar Educational Forest as a healing forest or forest bathing (shinrin yoku), emphasising the benefits of forests for human health and ecological balance.

The Head of the Forestry Study Programme, Ir. Jauhar Mukti, S.Hut., M.Hut., IPM., stated that this collaboration is expected to strengthen the implementation of the three pillars of higher education (tridharma), particularly in education, research, and community service.

“We hope that this collaboration can be implemented effectively to support the management of the Unismuh Makassar Educational Forest together with the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and relevant agencies,” he said.

The Head of the KHDTK Unismuh Management, Dr. Ir. Hasanuddin Molo, IPM., added that the Forestry Study Programme has established active cooperation with BPKH Region VII Makassar through internship programmes, research, training, and field practice activities at KHDTK Paccekke.

The event, attended by representatives from the Directorate General of Forestry Planning, BPKH, and several member universities of FORetIKA such as Universitas Islam Makassar and Universitas Andi Jemma, served as a significant moment to strengthen academic collaboration and sustainable forest management.

Through this activity, Unismuh Makassar reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the development of forestry education innovation and environmental conservation in Eastern Indonesia.
