Makassar – The Faculty of Agriculture at Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar held a taaruf event on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at the I-Gift Learning Building, Menara Iqra, 2nd floor. The event took place in a hybrid format and was attended by 175 new students from various departments.
The new students came from four departments: Forestry, Agribusiness, Agrotechnology, and Aquaculture. This taaruf event served as an important moment for students to become more familiar with the academic environment, lecturers, and campus culture rooted in the values of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan.
In her remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Andi Khaeriyah, IPU, welcomed all new students. She emphasised the importance of maintaining integrity and making the values of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan a foundation for academic and social life. “We hope that new students can progress well, excel academically, and actively participate in student activities,” she said.
The taaruf event was also attended by the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programmes, administrative staff, and institutional units within the Faculty of Agriculture. The presence of the entire academic community demonstrated full support in welcoming new students as part of the Faculty of Agriculture family.
Through this taaruf event, the Faculty of Agriculture at Unismuh Makassar hopes that new students will not only get to know the campus academically but also develop their potential, foster togetherness, and be ready to face the challenges of university life with a spirit of unity.
